Vivo Energy Botswana Expands Network with new Shell Mmopane Service Station

The new Shell Botswana Mmopane Service Station is now open, offering clients more places to fuel up and get more in one trip.

Vivo Energy Botswana, the company that distributes and markets Shell products and services in the country has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of new service stations in Tlokweng and Mmopane, strengthening access to high quality

Shell fuels, quality lubricants and convenience services in the growing communities.

The developments form part of the company’s continued investment in its national retail network, with the Shell Mmopane Service Station taking the number of Shell stations in Botswana to 85.

Vivo Energy Botswana Managing Director Sesupo Wagamang said the expansion reflects the company’s strategy of positioning its network closer to customers and communities experiencing growth.

“The opening of Tlokweng Service Station and Mmopane Service Station represents another important step in our journey to expand our footprint and bring our products and services closer to the communities we serve. Our network expansion is not simply about increasing the number of stations we operate; it is about being deliberate about where we invest and ensuring that our presence responds to where Botswana is growing,” said Wagamang.

The Shell Tlokweng Service Station combines Shell fuels and lubricants with convenience retail and food services through a partnership with Quatros, while the Shell Mmopane Service Station offers Shell fuels and lubricants, Pick n Pay Go and a Pick n Pay Liquor outlet.

The Mmopane Service Station strengthens the company’s presence along the Mmopane, Metsimotlhabe and Molepolole corridor, responding to increased residential, commercial and commuter activity in the area.

Wagamang said convenience remains central to the company’s evolving service station proposition.

“Customers are looking for more than a place to refuel. They want quality, reliability and convenience, and they want to be able to meet more of their everyday needs in one journey,” he said.

The developments are also expected to support employment, skills development and local business activity through partnerships and increased economic activity.

“Every new Shell service station we develop creates opportunities for employment, supports local businesses through strategic partnerships and makes it easier for customers to access quality fuels, lubricants, food and other essential services in one convenient location,” said Wagamang.

Vivo Energy Botswana said it will continue expanding its network responsibly while investing in customer experience and communities across Botswana.
