Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to put the safety of our frontline teams and our customers first. At this time of unprecedented global challenge, our Retailers’ frontline teams have been designated by the Government as Essential Services under the Petroleum Sector and our Service Stations in Botswana will continue to operate safely, adhering to the set safety protocols.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers and retail teams is of utmost importance to us. We are working closely with our Retailers to ensure they implement guidelines set out by the World Health Organisation and local government authorities, including more frequent and intensive cleaning of high public contact areas like counters, fuel pumps and payment keypads. We are also encouraging our service stations to continue to uphold thorough hand washing and social distancing guidelines. Our customers are advised to please use the card payments in the shop and forecourts, rather than cash.

Our Shell Service Stations have signs encouraging social distancing and other hygiene guidelines. These are currently being rolled out to many of our sites countrywide.

We appreciate and recognize sincerely all essential services workers and Shell Retailer staff in Botswana and across the globe, who are on the frontline and continue to work during these trying times. Thank you for your solidarity and all your efforts.

We will continue to adapt and adjust this page accordingly as we get official updates from the government and World Health Organisation in order to protect the wellbeing of the frontline teams and our customers. In the meantime, please stay safe.
